Liquid's Success Story in US

DarkAge Video: Independent Video Projects Shine in HD and SD

By his own admission, Mark Lowe defies convention. As the owner of DarkAge Video, a Denton, Texas-based video production studio that services the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he steers clear of traditional wedding shoots in favor of out-of-the-ordinary projects that push the videography envelope.

A quick tour of his Web site reveals his penchant for capturing creatively unusual – and technically challenging – live events: jazz, country, and Indian music concerts; the rough-and-tumble action of Dallas’s hot new roller derby league; and the eerie aura of a 10-room haunted hotel. Lowe relies on Avid Liquid Pro 7.1 to turn all of his raw, multicamera HD and SD footage into finished high-quality digital productions.

“My motto is to just say ‘yes,’ and then figure out how to do it,” says Lowe about his varied productions. “That can often pose a challenge. But on every project I’ve ever done, there is always some feature of Avid Liquid that makes the most complicated task uncomplicated and allows it to be done.”

“[Avid] Liquid proved to be a real lifesaver given that we were working with 16 cameras producing different formats.”
